Hey, I’m Taylor Kent.
Welcome to my studio and creative headspace for all things Product UX/ UI design.
About Me
Background
I find inspiration through my interests in comic book formatting and the clean yet effortlessly edgy aesthetic of 80s and 90s runway culture as seen in magazines such as Wired and Vogue. Over the past three years, I have been freelancing as a graphic designer, bringing clients' visions to life through commissioned artwork and collaborative projects. This experience has sharpened my creative skills and honed my ability to meet client expectations and deadlines. My journey has cultivated a community based mindset and a research-driven approach to design. I still find ways to make sure I insert a bit of myself in every project by referencing excerpts and layouts of vintage magazines prefacing it as adding a “nostalgic flair in a modern space” and closing my case with the cliche but often true line of “It’s all about balance you know?”
Work Style
I thrive in team environments where I can contribute creatively and leverage my research skills to create intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing user experiences. I am always excited to collaborate and merge my technical expertise, passion for design, and commitment to user satisfaction to create an innovative experience for any potential product.
“Dear Hooman” App
During user interviews, Myself and two other UX/ UI Designers discovered that young pet owners with demanding careers prioritize capturing memories of their pets during their limited downtime, but there is a gap in how they store and organize these memories for effortless retrieval and viewing. This is our solution.
